Here at The O2 we’re excited to host the League of Legends world championship finals. You’re welcome to bring banners and wear costumes, but your safety, and the experience of other guests is super important, so please follow these guidelines.
Banners, signs and flags:
- These must be event-related
- No commercial messages, logos, political, regional, separatist or country flags or political endorsements.
- No offensive, or obscene language
- If they have graphic depictions, this should be in good taste and won’t embarrass others.
- Make sure they:
- are small enough for one person to hold – no larger than 60x60cm
- don’t obstruct anyone’s view.
- are constructed of vinyl, cloth, paper or other lightweight materials.
- aren’t attached to poles or sticks
- Only one banner, sign or flag per person.
*Riot Games reserves the right to remove any banner, sign or flag not in compliance with the above*
Camera Policy:
The event staff can check your camera and stop you from using it if it doesn’t follow the event’s rules. Cameras with big or changeable lenses, as well as camera gear like tripods and flash, aren’t allowed. You can’t record professional audio or video unless you get special permission. Also, live streaming from your phone or other devices isn’t allowed without approval.
Costume Policy:
- No full-face coverings, large costumes/headpieces, or full-face paint, fake weapons or other hazardous/distracting items.
- You must always be recognisable.
- Costumes must be less than 120cm across, 180cm long and 240cm tall, and easy to move over stairs/ramps.
- You need to be able to fit through walkthrough metal detectors which are 76cm wide x 203cm tall.
- Masks should be removed for the event – but can be put on for a short time to take photos/interact with others.
- Your costume must not obstruct others, and you should always have an unobstructed view (i.e. must not need to remove a piece of your costume to be able to see).
- Armour can’t pose a threat to others (no sharp edges, spikes of bladed surfaces) and no metal or wood.
- All swords or bladed weapons must be blunt-edged, and can’t be sharp enough that they can pierce someone with moderate pressure. Note: Worbla and 3D prints will be permitted, pending that it follows the above weapon restrictions.
- No firearms, air guns or cap guns or any replica weapons. Any firearm must clearly be a prop, and should be make of primary foam/light plastics. You may be asked to prove it’s not dischargeable. Bows are not allowed.
- No liquids, gels, air horns or any other substance that could cause a mess/make loud noises.
- No smoke effects, fire, explosives or any other environmental hazard.
- Prop weapons may only be displayed as costume pieces. No swinging or using your prop in a way that could be seen as unsafe or threatening. If you don’t comply, the prop might be confiscated with no return.
- You can pose with your prop in a brandishing manner, only if people wouldn’t interpret this as anything other than dramatic effect. Local police, event staff or management may stop you at their discretion.
- Everyone attending will need to have a ticket to enter.
*Final decisions on costumes will be down to the local Police department, Riot and/or event security*
Bag Policy:
Following the usual bag policy, you can take one per person, no larger than A4 size. Backpacks, travel cases, laptop bags won’t be permitted. If you need to bring one, leave it at the bag storage facility just outside the main entrance for £10. Amex card holders can enjoy 50% off by joining the Amex cardmember lane and dropping off your bag for £5. All bags will be searched and screened.
Bag drop closes 1 hour after the show has finished.
Re-entry is not possible.
Prohibited items:
No illegal items will be allowed into the venue. Weapons, bladed/sharp articles, ammunition, explosives, horns, whistles, drums, fireworks, flags, flagpoles, inflatables, large umbrellas, glass bottles, flammable liquids in any container, laser pens, professional camera equipment, illegal drugs, alcoholic beverages, animals (except Service Dogs), confetti, glitter bombs, balloons, wheeled footwear, helmets, full face masks, Go Pros and iPads, LED signs, food and drink or any other item which in our opinion, may cause danger or disruption to the event or to other visitors (regardless of whether or not the item is illegal or carried for specific purposes).
