The O2 now uses Evolv Express®, an AI-enabled contactless security screening solution that highlights threat items while ignoring harmless personal items as guests walk through at a natural pace.
Is Evolv Express® safe?
Evolv Express® uses extremely low frequency radio waves (ELF) in the same range used by Electronic Anti-Theft Systems (EAS), widely deployed in retail settings for loss prevention. Although the US FDA (Food and Drug Administration) recognise the likelihood of ELF systems interfering with implantable electronic medical devices as low, visitors can choose the alternative option of a manual search.
Most common exposures to low frequency radio waves (also known as nonionizing radiation) are not considered hazardous to you or your unborn baby. A manual screening alternative is recommended for anyone
How efficient is Evolv Express®?
The O2 and Evolv have worked together for a number of years, with lots of trials and testing prior to investing in the technology as our main search operation. The Evolv detection system combines powerful sensor technology with proven artificial intelligence (AI), security ecosystem integrations, and comprehensive venue analytics to ensure safer, more accurate threat detection at an unprecedented speed and volume.
