Up at The O2 - Booking tickets
Ticket prices & Climb options:
Tickets start from £35pp, to book, choose your experience:
*Prices are the same for children and adults.
Discounts & Group bookings:
- Discounts are available for TasteCard holders, Blue Light holders and O2 Priority members. (Student discount isn’t available).
- For group or corporate bookings, learn more here.
Virgin or Buy-a-Gift vouchers:
If you need to book tickets with vouchers, email boxoffice@upattheo2.co.uk. Include:
- Your voucher serial number and PIN
- Preferred climb date and approximate time.
- Contact number.
Buying vouchers:
You can buy e-gift vouchers, valid for one year from the date of purchase here.
Climbing Requirements

Age:
- There’s no upper age limit, but climbers must be in good general health and able to walk unaided.
- Children aged 8+ can climb, if they’re 1.2metres tall, and are with an adult (1 adult to 5 children).
- Weight limit: Maximum weight for climbers is 21 stone/130kg/286lbs.
- Measurements: Maximum waist size up to 125cm, thigh up to 74cm.

Medical Considerations:
Contact boxoffice@upattheo2.co.uk before booking if you have:
- Cardiovascular, respiratory or mobility issues
- Limb difference or current injuries
- Epilepsy (allowed if not seizures in the past 12 months)
Ticket Policies
- No refunds or cancelations once tickets are confirmed. Plan travel in advance. If there are train strikes or delays, parking is available here.
- Climbs will go ahead in most weather conditions. In the event of bad weather (gales, lightning, or heavy snow) we’ll rebook or refund your climb.
Rescheduling your booking:
Need to schedule? No problem! You can move your booking to another date of the same value for a small reschedule fee:
- More than 48 hours’ notice: £5 per ticket
- Less than 48 hours’ notice: £15 per ticket
Just a heads up: we can’t reschedule on the day of the climb, or after it’s taken place. New bookings must be within 3 months of your original date.
What to Wear

Clothing: Comfortable, flexible attire. Climb jackets and gilets are available if needed as an extra layer. Gloves and hats are recommended in winter.
- Shoes: Wear laced or Velcro shoes with deep treads (e.g. walking boots). Fashion trainers or muddy soles aren’t suitable. Shoes are available to borrow.
- Hair: Long hair must be tied back
We’ll provide harnesses and climb equipment.
What you can Bring
- Phones: These are allowed but must stay in the climb jacket pocket, and should only be used on the viewing platform.
- Medication: Essential items like inhalers, insulin and nourishment can be carried by your guide.
- Food & Drinks: These aren’t allowed during the climb, but upgrade options are available for rooftop drinks.
- Go Pro’s & Cameras: these aren’t allowed on the climb.
Lockers are available for storing personal items, but avoid bringing large items.
Arriving for your Climb
- Check-in is 15 minutes before your climb time. Late arrivals can’t be admitted or refunded.

About the Climb
- Groups of up to 18 (or 30 with two guides) are led by an experienced guide who’ll share landmarks and fun facts.
- The climb reaches 52m – taller than an Olympic pool! Don’t worry if you’re nervous, our guides are there to help.
- Training and safety briefings are provided before your climb.
Accessible Climbs
- Wheelchair climbs: These take place on specific times of the year. Tickets are first come, first served. Email boxoffice@upattheo2.co.uk in October for next year’s dates.
- Personal assistants: Carers can climb for free. Just email boxoffice@upattheo2.co.uk – you’ll need to provide evidence such as PIP, Access card or DLA documents.
